Cold Spring Resort

Gorgeous part of New Hampshire in the White Mountains. Lots of villages in the area located on various lake shores and rivers. Beautiful shops; great spots to walk and view the villages, trails, and waterways. Lots of smaller roads offering quiet drives through the countryside. Only an hour and a half from Concord, Massachusetts and the home of Louisa May Alcott. The town showcases history and charm. The town of North Conway and all of its natural beauty and many outlet stores makes it a destination easily accessed from this resort. The swimming pool and other activities located in the same building, make this resort a great family place. For us, the water heater for the pool was broken and made for cool swimming.

We stayed here through the RCI exchange program for one week. We found the unit to be extremely dated and could definitely stand to be updated. We also found maintenance issues with the plumbing in the bathrooms. The units do not use central air but instead have many splits and are only located in the master bedroom and the living area, but not the second bedroom. We stayed during the summer time so air conditioning of course was important. We like the fact that they had both hot tubs and swimming pools both indoors and outdoors. Though we didn't get a chance to use any of them. We did enjoy the games in the welcome center, particularly the ping pong table. One thing to be careful of is the mosquitoes on the walking trails, so make sure you have bug spray for those. We didn't so much like the location because pretty much everything we did was a 2-hour drive. We really appreciated the covered and screened outdoor porch and we had no troubles with noise during our stay. However, we will likely not be staying here again for our trips to that area.
